Black Moles

This variant of a benign mole (the common mole) is also referred to as a mole of midlife. It typically is seen in darker-skinned persons between the ages of sixteen and thirty years. Of course this rule has a lot of exceptions. Usually the black mole is little, up to 5 mm, black spot some times with a subtle touch of brown color at the periphery. The black moles usually appear on the body and extremities and in rare cases on the face. Black moles vary in number from a single lesion to more than fifty.

Because the dark skins tend to develop dark moles it usually could be seen in people with African and Asian origin. Black moles are more prominent in women that in men.

Usually the intense black color is a symptom of melanoma and because of that the black moles should be monitored carefully. There are not enough experimental evidences to prove that black moles will turn into melanoma but you should always be on the alert when a black-pigmented spot is found during the regular check mole process. A single black nevus is more worrisome than multiple lesions so it is obligatory to inform your dermatologist as soon as possible.

  1. black moles on testicles bleeding

    please, help

I’ve got one black mole on my testicles since i was a kid. i hadn’t any troubles with it till now. a few days ago, after a training, i’ve noticed a bloody spot on my trunks. the mole looks a little bit bigger than before and may be a little raised. what does this could mean? what could cause this?

please, tell me what to do!!!!

  2. The genital moles have to be examined more often than the other ones. The genitals usually are place with more irritation on the skin and with higher risk of infection. In your case if the mole start bleeding after a training the most possible reason for this could be some irritation of the mole by your underwear.

No matter of this the best you can do now is to visit your dermatologist as soon as possible.

  3. I remove one mole at my chest may be four months ago and now at the place of the mole there is a black spot. Does it mean that this is cancerous?

  4. No, it does not mean that this is melanoma for sure. The most possible reason is that not all of the mole skin cells were removed. It is possible and in common case it is not dangerous. To be complete sure ask your physician to see it too. And for my regret I have to tell you that you must repeat the moles removal procedure again.

  5. Hi, I’ve recently noticed little tiny moles (about 6 in number) around my face. Is there a way that I can stop them from coming? Are they going to grow in size? If so, how can I remove them?

    Thank you

  6. You can’t stop moles appear. It is just a part of the life. Usually the moles grow with time but it could be assumed as dsuspisious if the mole is bigger than 6mm. There are really a lot of methods to remove your moles. In my book here http://www.molesremoval.org/members/44_proven_methods_to_get_rid_of_skin_moles.htm I collect 44 Methods to do this.
